CEI Sets the Stage for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement and Concert for Legends
Established in 1963, the Pro Football Hall of Fame hosts an annual Enshrinement ceremony and professional game that draws thousands to the Northeast Ohio museum and event center each year. This year, the celebratory weekend featured music from Maroon 5, contests, celebrity appearances and the enshrinement ceremony inducting the newest Pro Football Hall of Fame members.
2018’s events were larger than ever and required heavy duty equipment to help erect the massive stage and lighting setup on a tight deadline. In addition, they required equipment that could handle the job without damage to the field in the Tom Benson Stadium.
Canton Erectors has been working with the Hall of Fame since 2014 and works closely with event organizers to understand the job and weight requirements and get the setup done quickly and effectively.
Canton Erectors provided a 225 ton Grove GMK5225 and a 240 ton Grove GMK 5240 to set up the stage, lighting towers and lights. The schedule required precise timing to get the stage assembled and clear the field before the busy schedule of enshrinement festivities began. The cranes provided met project specifications to accomplish the job without damaging the surrounding field.
The beautiful, well-lit stage provided the perfect centerpiece for the week’s enshrinement ceremonies and events, and concert that are attended by thousands of football players, fans and locals. The Football Hall of Fame organizers were extremely pleased with the work done and continue to use Canton Erectors for their demanding crane and rigging projects each year for the Hall of Fame festival.
