Remembering Neil Selinsky: Founder, Father, and Friend

To our CEI Crane & Rigging family:

I’m deeply saddened to share that my father, Neil Selinsky, passed away on Jan. 12, 2018, at the age of 87. For a man who only finished the eighth grade, my father accomplished so much during his lifetime.

He founded CEI Crane & Rigging formerly Canton Erectors in 1964 with only one hydraulic crane — the first ever in Stark County. With innovative ideas and a passion for exceptional customer service, he built our company from the ground up, and his legacy lives on in our work today.

His life outside work centered around his family and his hobbies. From artwork to automobiles, his talents and interests ran deep. He had an unfailingly generous spirit that led to volunteer work at Habitat for Humanity and Stark MRDD. Those who knew him saw a kind and humble man who never took himself too seriously. His constant love and humor will be greatly missed.

Thank you to our family, friends and customers for their outpouring of support during this difficult time. Our family truly appreciates your kindness. Together, we’ll continue to honor his memory.

Sincerely,
Brian Selinsky
